Mara Vollbrecht, principal, has over 30 years experience in the residential and commercial design industries. Mara's philosophy is simple: "share what you know by creating beautiful Soft Furnishings one design at a time..." Mara started dbm in 1996, first working from her home. In 2004, the workroom moved to a commercial location to house both showroom and workroom under one roof.

Projects we have worked on have been featured in publications such as Seattle Home, Better Homes and Gardens, LUXE Northwest and Window Fashion Magazine. We have also participated in the Window Coverings Expo by creating and displaying Trend Vignettes on the show floor. Mara takes an active role in WFCP certification programs and is also a member of Workroom Association of America WAA, WCAA and many other industry associations.
